The Bloomsburg chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA) is hosting a weeklong event called “Bloom Into Marketing Week” which is similar to “Marketing Week” which is held in the fall.
Throughout the week, events will be held on a daily basis. Here’s a brief overview of the events:
On Monday, April 4 at 6 p.m. a presentation will be made by professional development in McCormick Center for Human Services in room 1316. The topic of the presentation is “How to Make Yourself More Marketable to Employers.”
On Tuesday, there will be AMA certifications in McCormick Human Services Center 2229 with Dr. Kim. Here, students can become certified in either marketing research or sales. This event will help set you apart in your job search by adding a certification to your resume.
On Wednesday, Dr. Kirkwood will be presenting “Careers in Marketing” in Hartline G40 at 6 p.m. This event is ZIPD approved, for business majors who need ZIPD points.
On Thursday, a group of our students involved in AMA will be traveling to New York City to visit two ad agencies.
To wrap up the week, the AMA club will hold AMA Fun Day on the quad Friday, starting at 11 a.m. and ending at 2 p.m. During this time, students can enjoy a variety of activities including a bake sale, games, music and meet and great with special guests.
