Bernie Sanders is Running For President
Earlier this morning, Vermont Senator and 2016 Democratic Candidate Bernie Sanders announced his candidacy for President of the United States in the 2020 Election.
Sanders joins a packed field of potential Democratic nominees, including major names such as Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris, and Cory Booker. As of the writing of this article, Sanders is one of twelve people currently seeking the presidency on the Democratic ticket.
Despite it being a packed field, early polling suggests that Sanders, given his status as the father of the modern progressive movement and bolstered status from his previous run, has a very good chance of gaining the Democratic Nomination.
