Huskies Give Back to the Community in The Big Event

On Saturday, March 29 over 2,000 Bloomsburg University students gathered for the fifth annual Big Event at 8 a.m. at the Bloomsburg Town Park. The Big Event is a one-day community service project in which students are able to build relationships with local residents.

The Big Kick Off

The Community Government Association will be hosting a Big Event “Kick Off” on Wednesday, March 25 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on the Student Services Center Patio. There will be a DJ, Roongo, giveaways, and raffles to get students pumped up to participate in The Big Event on Saturday.

The Fifth Annual Big Event

The Community Government Association is recruiting all Bloomsburg students and residents living in the town of Bloomsburg for the 5th annual Big Event. On Sat., March 29, hundreds of students will gather at the town park to go out to various residences, parks, and community areas in Bloomsburg to complete various tasks including raking, weeding, painting, window washing, and so much more.

Flight 214 Makes Crash Landing in San Francisco

At 2:30 p.m. ET July 6, Asiana Airlines flight 214 from Seoul, South Korea crashed on the San Francisco International Airport runway 28 while landing behind Terminal 2 after a 10 1/2 hour flight. Passengers aboard the Boeing 777 from South Korea heard “a pop” followed by flames and smoke.
