The Great American Smoke Out is an annual event to encourage Americans to quit tobacco use, especially smoking. Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania will host the Great American Smoke Out 5K Sunday, Nov. 15, at 12:30 p.m. The starting location is the Bloomsburg Area YMCA, East Seventh Street.
Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania's art and art history department was recently accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD).
The Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania Chamber Orchestra will perform a fall concert Sunday, Nov. 1, at 2:30 p.m. at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 123 N. Market St. The program is free and open to the public.

Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania set an enrollment record this fall with the largest number of students in the school's history. A total of 9,512 students - 8,605 undergraduates and 907 graduate students - were tallied in the university's official enrollment report on the 15th day of classes.
