ATO vs Kappa Sig: Block Party 2014

Our favorite day of the year is finally approaching. Block Party 2014 will be held Saturday April 12, and the anticipation is building. The only choice you need to make before Saturday is where you will be spending your day. The usual party spots have promised to make block party bigger and better than ever!
Veteran block party throwers, Alpha Tau Omega have adapted their rendition of block party over the years. It started out with live bands and has now evolved into an EDM rave, complete with concert grade stage and sound, you’ll be sure to hear them raging. This year the music will be bumping from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. ATO is located at 115 Iron St. and will be partying in the back lot. You will not get in without a wrist band so be sure to buy one for $20 from a brother. Buy now before they sell out, you do not want to miss out on the fun. The day’s line up goes as follows:
Festival MC: Dean Anthony
12PM-1:30PM – T.B.A.
1:30-3:00PM – Mikey P
3PM-5PM: DJ Kaz
5PM-6PM: Cary Nokey
6PM-8PM: Dean Anthony
The festival themed event, ATZOO, will have prizes, live dancers, CO2 & confetti cannons, concession stand, and much more. Check out their Facebook page for updates.
Second year block party rookies, Kappa Sigma have also evolved since last year’s party and have stepped up their game! They too will be giving out goodies from their stage and raging with DJs from Philadelphia. Kappa Sig is located at 424 Chestnut Ave. and the event will be held in their back parking lot. As of March 27 tickets to this event sold out but I’m sure there are some more floating around! $10 for Greek life and $20 for us common folk.
