“Over the past two decades I have had the good fortune to photograph many of the world’s most beautiful women, most of whom I met while working for Victoria’s Secret,” author Russell James revealed. “Ever since man began to etch, paint, or sculpt we seem to have been fascinated by the beauty of the human form. Simply shooting a nude photograph is easy. However, accepting the trust of a woman to be at her most vulnerable, and delivering in return a tasteful photograph that she herself can admire is extremely difficult. Women are inarguably the most compelling, complex, and wonderful beings in the universe who will not be defined by any one-dimensional view – especially mine. Veteran photographer, Russell James, has been shooting for the sexiest company in the world, Victoria’s Secret, for 15 plus years now. If you are looking at a picture of a VS model from that time period, James most likely shot it.
James has collaborated with these amazingly beautiful women again, but without the wings or the lingerie. The results are a 304 page tasteful nude book called Angels where his focus is on the female form, instead of what they are wearing. The book includes some of the world’s most stunning supermodels in all their glory including, Gisele Bundchen, Candice Swanepoel, Lily Aldridge, Kendall Jenner, Adriana Lima, Behati Prinsloo, Doutzen Kroes, Karlie Kloss, Alessandra Ambrosio, Martha Hunt, and Rihanna.
The result is a stunning collection of photos that are truly breathtaking.
