26th Annual Kid’s Choice Awards Nominees
The Kid’s Choice Awards nominees have been selected. Winners will be chosen on March 23 at 8 p.m.
Since 1988, orange blimps have been handed out annually for the Kid’s Choice Awards Show(KCA’s). This year will be no different. The nominees for the 2013 Kid’s Choice Awards have been announced.
Josh Duhamel is hosting the 26thannual KCA’s on Saturday, March 23 at 8 p.m. on Nickelodeon. Other guests, such as, Adele, Justin Beiber, Selena Gomez, and Taylor Swift will be making an appearance, along with many more to hand out blimps and get “slimed.”
In case you’ve never seen the KCA’s, getting slimed is a term for being covered in green goo that Nickelodeon first used back in the 1990s. Different challenge shows like “Slime Time Live” and “Double Dare” used the green goo to cover the contestants each episode.
Swift has been nominated in the same category as ex, Harry Styles, the One Direction heartthrob. The One Direciton star and country cutie will compete under the “Favorite Song” category. Fans are going wild over the former flirtation between the two stars and are interested in seeing how this category will work out.
Voting is now open on Nick.com in 26 different categories.
Fun Fact: According to Tv.com, in 2006, more than 25 million kids cast their ballots.
