A call to postpone Halloween

With Game 3 of the World Series falling on the same night as Halloween, Joe Arleth hopes that his influence as Commissioner of High Education will help force the necessary change. Halloween must be rescheduled till November 6th. This is no trick.

Chamber Orchestra concert features Schubert symphony, Haydn concerto

The Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania Chamber Orchestra will perform a fall concert Sunday, Nov. 1, at 2:30 p.m. at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 123 N. Market St. The program is free and open to the public.

Quest offers wilderness first aid course

Registration is open for an introductory-level wilderness first aid program sponsored by Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania’s Quest program and presented by the National Outdoor Leadership School’s (NOLS) Wilderness Medicine Institute. The program will be held Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 5 and 6, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Monty’s on BU’s upper campus.

Bloomsburg Downtown Fire

Area firefighters remained in Bloomsburg downtown throughout the afternoon after three buildings were destroyed in an early morning fire.

BU Football Suffers First Defeat of Season in Final Minute

Celebrity Artist Series presents Yamato, the Drummers of Japan

Collins Scholarship to benefit theatre arts majors
