12 Days of Video Games: Day 3 – Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale
The 12 Days of Video Games will help you pick the perfect presents for your gamer this holiday.

Day 3: Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale
This game is an awesome gift for your gamer this holiday season because of the family fun it yields, like the other games in our 12 Days of Video Games.
This game is playable for both PlayStation 3 and the new Sony hand-held, the PSVita. The interesting part is the intertwined game play between the two systems, as in you get both versions for the price of one and can play with people on both networks.

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale has the same concept that the Nintendo brand game Super Smash Brothers, but is completely different, as well. Both games include a battle to the finish between up to four characters. The game includes PlayStation exclusive characters like Sly Cooper, Kratos from God of War, and Sackboy from Little Big Planet.
The graphics on this game, in contrast to Super Smash Brothers, are incredibly crisp and are accompanied by a well-composed, fitting soundtrack.
The game’s most attractive point is its multi-player. The game also has a single player mode for nights when gamers are alone. The single player mode is a linear story that tells the unique history to each playable character as well as unlockables for multi-player.
There are practice stages that beginners can use or gamers just looking to try out a new character and make their game play better.
PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale sets itself apart from Super Smash Brothers in a few different ways, including character level ups, wins determined by kill points, and complex battle moves. Special moves are the only way to ensure kills in this game. This means normal attacks won’t get you any points, but they will fill up your level meters. Each level makes your special attacks stronger and stronger until they are basically unavoidable.

The multi-player for this game is endlessly addicting. It’s easy to get involved in and fun to watch when you aren’t playing. As fun as it is to watch, though, you will find yourself fighting for a spot on the battlefield of KillZone or in the Dojo of PaRappa the Rapper’s game which are only some of the settings you can brawl in. Pick up PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale this holiday for your gamer and the whole family.
