2017 has been a huge year for Kylie Jenner’s makeup line, Kylie Cosmetics. So far, she has released a slew of new products including her sellout Valentine’s Day collection, kylighters, matte powder blushes, velvet lip kits, and much more.
On April 18, Kylie took to Instagram to tease followers about her latest collaboration with her sister, Kim Kardashian West, that would soon be hitting her site. Kim released a video on Instagram explaining that she wanted the collection to represent her everyday signature look.
The KKW Collection includes 4 nude créme liquid lipsticks, a new formula specifically created by Kim herself. The lipsticks come in four different shades of nude and are all named after Kim.
The first shade, “Kimberly”, is a warm nude that could pair with any look. The second and third shades, are personally my favorites. “Kim” is a peachy nude and “Kiki” is a soft pink nude, both great shades to wear if you want a pop of color that isn’t over the top. The final shade in the collection, “Kimmie” is a darker peachy nude.
Following the KKW announcement, the Kylie Cosmetics Instagram page promoted the KKW Collection nonstop. Followers could see the swatches of the shades, the color of the packaging and lipstick tubes themselves, and were able to see each shade on a model to get the feel of how they looked.
The KKW Collection released on April 25 and sold out in less than an hour, much like all of Kylie’s other products. Shortly after, Kylie announced that there would be a restock of the collection on April 28 for fans that weren’t able to purchase the collection the first time around.
Currently, the KKW Collection is sold out but expect it to be restocked or become a permanent product on the site sometime in the future, considering Kylie did this with the “Koko Kollection.” I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this collection returns soon!
